We have approximately 1 mile of single bank fishing, on the South bank of the river Girvan (see map below)

The lower beat consists of 3 main pools: tanks ,mckissicks, and the bridge with plenty of fast running water in between. Excellent fly water for brown trout, sea trout, and salmon - straight from the tide.

The upper beat runs from the road bridge to Drumrannie burn. It consists of 5 pools: Miller's, Weirs, Woodpool, The Bend, and Drumrannie. All good holding pools for salmon. Drumrannie pool boasts some of the biggest salmon caught on the river, including specimens of 25 and a half lbs. and 22 and a half lbs. both caught in 2017.

The club has a private car park with easy wheel chair access to the disabled platform and fishing hut. We also have permission to use the hospital car park for access to the lower beat. All pools are very easy to access.

Fly, spinning, and worming. Note: It is illegal to fish the river on a Sunday.

The club also has a reservoir located on the A714 which is stocked with rainbows, blues, and brown trout. The reservoir is for fly fishing only.

The club operates a zero tolerance policy and has full time bailiff coverage. It is a requirement that you show your season or day ticket when asked to do so. Anyone found fishing without a ticket will be rendered liable to criminal charges and the confiscation of all equipment, including any vehicle.
